A Subway and a 6.9 Mile Walk from Lock Mountain (Namsan Park)

Amaya and I took the Line 4 Subway to Myeongdong and then took

the funicular to the Namsan Park Tower.  From there we walked back

to the base.  We were tired by the time we got back! 

Wow... her shadow grew up fast without the coat on.

We found a new Subway entrance to Sinyongsan, Line 4.

Through the brand new square building outside the gate.

The Cleveland Family lock on Lock Mountain.  Amaya walked to

it right away even though there must be a million locks in the park.

The Fall colors are coming quickly to Seoul!

At first, we thought it was Don Henley of the Eagles fame, then realized it was

the famous Don Henry, who has written songs for BJ Thomas, Blake Shelton,

Miranda Lampert, Conway Twitty, Ray Charles, Patti Page and the list goes on...

Marty Stuart, Carol, Derick & Cathy Invited to a Party

Marty Stuart, a photographer of recent discovery - casually took many pictures of country 

western stars, even before they hit maximum shine.  He also has built a great Les Paul 

guitar collection which was on display at a local venue that had many 

notable Nashville Stars, including Deryck and his famous Friends.

A great guitar player, photographer and guitar collector, that be Marty Stuart!

According to Wikipedia, unfortunately there are many counties now poorer than 

Shannon County in our home state of South Dakota.  Sorry to state that case...

No One Will Believe This I Know...

I worked on this lamp practically all day.  The lower bulbs were burned out and the

switch was very hard to turn - obviously needed changing.  I started at Tractor Supply,

then Harbor Freight, then Lowes when I realized the first two stores did not have

an adequate 3-way switch.  (I did not want to buy a cheap one as I want to fix it once!)

To get to the switch, 15 parts have to come off.  To get the parts back on you need

15 hands as all of the glass work is free floating and must be secured in place

all at once.  It was frustrating!  I had to stop after an hour and eat the rest

of the ice cream to simmer down.  Then I methodically went at it again

using yards of painters tape as sort of a plaster cast on a broken arm.  I finally

got it together, then realized one of the pieces was supposed to be on the top

and not the bottom.  I loosened the cast and slipped the wrong way part out

without much problem.  What a day... but the lamp is fixed!!

Another Gully Washer Today!

Pretty sunset last night.  But some big thunderstorms through our

neighborhood today.  The first one while I was going to the dentist

at approximately 0830.  This one happened as I was getting home

around noon.  Carol still at her dentist appointment in BNA south.

Carol Rented a Houseboat for a Day: Weather? Great!

 Carol did a group on boat ride and the weather was the best in a month!

We had a great time eating, talking and eating some more...

Deryk made me do most of the driving as he got sea sick after we hit the 

first couple of boat wakes.  For the rest of the ride, he needed to sit tight between

two women so that he could balance himself.  What a trooper!

The ladies did their best to pretend to hold up the 109 bridge.  Kathy seemed

to do the best.  Probably because she is used to holding up her

heavy husband, who gets sea sick a lot.
