We Love Babysitting Elsie, LC, Elora!
Rex and Shelley Drop In For a Nice Visit
There is no doubt that we love our children's friends, both in Nashville, Clarksville, Germany, South Korea and DC... We have taken a liking to Meg & Eric's good friend Ray - he is a wonderful artist, song writer and we hear a great dad on top of it. (He also has a very lovely, sweet wife.) Ray had some great talent on his show this week and we were there to enjoy it.
Leave it to a woodworker to sniff out another woodworker. We had just left the 3rd & Lindsley Show when Rex spotted a woodworking shop crossed the street. Well we dropped in, Rex dropped a few (ok, more than a few maybe) bucks and he left a happy man. We proceeded to downtown where we all dropped a few more for overpriced drinks, but great music!

Went to the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky With a Friend
My friend walks the walk as he has been there. No longer a Corvette owner... but writes about them! (Does that count?) |
The first Corvette logo that was nixed as the American Flag was not allowed to be used in this marketing manner. |
My buddy Steve and I have had several vehicles on Route 66. None of them were corvettes. Based on rental rates, the past will relicate/dictate the future. (Hop into the CRV Dude.) |
This double yellow Corvette caught my attention. |
This would be my Road Trip choice of Corvettes. It also matches my age - Dayzsha Voo... |
Ouch... you heard about the Museum cave-in a while back no doubt. It swallowed a million dollars of beautiful cars in 10-minutes time in the middle of the night. |
Haven't Been There, Haven't Done That.. but Looks Kind of Cool. |
All 25 Cupboards are In!! Thanks Goodness as I am down to 8th grade weight.
Anyone in the Nashville Music Scene Looking for a Younger Keyboard Player
She may be young but she is exceptionally gifted - coming from a family of gifted organists. (Well actually "organist".) Her name is Papa's Prodigy and she has an excellent manager that holds her dear as she plays. (He also manages her bank account.) She works at Nashville Union Scale of course but also requires that several extra expenses be considered. (Consider all you want but there is no negotiation. "You want this baby, there is no maybe.")
Management Staff: Requires a back up, one that needs to understand musical small hand chord positions. Engagement Fee: Frequent Hot Meals are Required - Daytime Dry Nurse available with hot meal warmup experience. Wet nurse also available for overnight tours. Contact Backup Manager for more information: "No baby talk... no babble, we walk-the-walk and excel at Scrabble". (This makes absolutely no sense but it rhymes - we might just write a country song around it as mailbox money is cool.)
Costume Changes: Many costume changes required - depending on the length of performance and the guttural activity of the musical session. (Low bass tones tend to excite the cerebral cortex area LC4 - sometimes resulting in spontaneous explosive brain/finger musical runs - always appropriate to the musical theme but sometimes resulting in a thigh dipe dripper (depends). Talk to Management Staff should you somehow want any more specific information on how this *hit happens.
Old Friends, Special Friends, Always Old Special Friends!
Only one guy in Gallatin that knows where all the hot old cars in town are and he took us there. Thanks Deryk! |
My friend Jim is also a Vintage Car Mag Author. He just might write an article about Glen Campbell's old T-Bird with a Corvette engine in it. Here he is giving it a cursory inspection. |
Behind every moderately successful man is a brilliant, successful woman. Well, we claim these two! |
The girl on the left we call Arm. The one on the right we call Candy. We take them everywhere people might see us! |
Bill Monroe at the Ryman happy to see us. Thanks for coming for a visit Jim and Deb. Lets stay in touch! |

Triage Hospital In A Can
![]() |
Several wings - A, B & C, of hospital beds. Amaya asked what the funny shaped pink pans were... she found out and was grossed out to think you would have to "do that" in your bed. |

"Ocho had a Ouch!!" - Last night a front moved through COS and the very strong wind blew part of their tent down. They managed to fix it by putting the sidewalk on top of the collapsed portion to keep it down but it was apparently very exciting. Plus they lost their electricity. Oh isn't this fun!
The real action starts the day after Family Day. All the troops have their assignments, they have their SOP's written and the "simulation begins." I suspect that the first copters will arrive with the boys that need attention at dawn. No one but the upper staff knows what surprises they will pull on the troops.

Amaya waving Goodbye to Daddy. After several hours in the dust bowl, we are ready to go back to the car, go home to wash up and enjoy the peace that these Army Folks provide us. Thanks you all!! |
