Elsie Has Taken to Books at an Early Age

LC loves books and leafs through them for minutes-at-a-time, which is actually hours if you realize she is not even one yet.  (One month to her is actually 8 % of her life experience - one month to Pops life is actually 0.1 % of his life experience.  She is one smart cookie...

Sometimes You Need the Right Tool: Like a 3/4 short length socket...

As my folks readied for an estate sale years ago, I made an offer which they accepted for my Dad's Toolbox full of tools.  He received these tools as a Wedding Present from his wife, Maxine, in 1946.  That would made this 3/4" socket and wrench (which I used yesterday) approximately 75 years old.

The smaller wrench, which is partially visible at the bottom of the box, "skips" - so it needs to be repaired.  I may or may not go to the expense of that.  Old things are wonderful and getting better as I age!

Short Ski Season - 2019/2020 Due to CV-19 Closures

Everyone knows this story - There is always next year!

My First Silver Certificate Ever - Received as Change from a Quick Trip in Harrisburg, PA

It was fun to get out of the house and go to Harrisburg, PA for a short pipe job for ITI/Boardwalk - Rodney.  The pipe business was designated as "Essential" by the PA Governor, not many people were out and about that I could tell.  I stayed downtown and never ran into traffic, even at 5-ish during their normal rush hour.

The State Capitol was only several blocks from my ABNB.  I would walk over there after work or on the weekends.  Hardly ever saw more than a handful of people on my frequent several hour walks.

It was a month long job - perhaps my last, who knows.  I enjoyed it and also spent quite a bit of time with my old friend from SDSMandTechnology/Armco: Mark A.  We enjoy old memories.  He also took me on a very nice tour of Gettysburg - he knows his Civil War History very well.

Enjoyed this gentleman.  He was always sitting near the river walkway by my apartment that was located one block away.

The two bottles of (I suspect water) gin did not stay there long.  I saw them one morning and they were gone by the end of the day.  Also, one morning on my way to work, he had a surgical mask on but it was also gone by my end-of-the-day river walk.

Royal Gorge, Colorado - Great Family Day Trip While Under Quarantine

Of course, everyone has heard of the Royal Gorge Bridge.  Normally it is a "Walk Only" Bridge but this last weekend they had a "Drive Only" Family Special.  ($20.00 per car instead of $25.00 per person - what a CV-19 Special!!). Well, we drove 90-minutes to drive over the Royal Gorge Bridge!

It was a fun event, glad we did it, especially since I did not have to drive.  Erica drove us in Michael's XPLORE van.  The country quickly goes from green to brown - reminds me of Arizona high desert type scenery.  (Glad we live in COS actually.)
